SAVANNAH RESTAURANTS AND FOODS REVIEWING VLOG

Hello everyone!

Welcome back to Tram Anh Foodie.

Recently, I visited Savannah in a friendship trip, and I had a chance to try many American foods. They were beyond expectation because they broke the stereotype that Americans cuisine is all about Hamburger and Fries. Thus, I am so excited to show all my Asians fellow a few proofs of a deeper and unpopular <yet delicious> side of American cuisine through this short vlog.

This is the first time I make a vlog, so please comment below how I can improve my video for a better quality next time. Anyway, hope you all enjoy the video and find it informative.

Much love!! ♡♡♡ – Tram Anh Le

The Worst Restaurant Experience Ever

As a blogger, I always want to be positive and bring a good mood to my audience. I had to think a long time before I decided to publish this post. I decided to keep it real and honest with you guys. This blog is about the worst restaurant experience I have ever had in my entire life. And it is from 89 Hot Pot at 2180 Pleasant Hill Rd, Ste A3, Duluth, GA 30096.

It was my birthday night last year, my friend and I was craving for a super hot and spicy soupy dish, so we decided to go to 89 Hot Pot to celebrate my birthday. It used to be my favorite hot pot place. My friends and I went there about once every week in that winter. The reason is that their pricing is cheapest and the location is near our houses. Not that we had not heard and experienced their horrible customer services, but because we like the affordable pricing they offer, we just pretended that we blind.

But on that day, we had the most frustrated and disgusting experience. Like every other time, we ordered two separate hot pots. And after finish nearly half of her portion, my friend found in the mussel there was A WORM! Take a look at the picture we took below guys.

I admit it was our mistake not telling them right away. Instead, we just left my friend’s pot and finish mine. We did not want to make a big deal of it because we aware that this could happen sometimes, and we just wanted to warn them.

After finish mine, we talked to staff, and he first told us that it was an ekino mushroom. But we DID NOT order any mushroom. Then another staff came and said it was a noodle. And we also DID NOT order any noodle. My friend PULLED that out of the mussel. So we talked to the restaurant owner. And the first thing she told us that she knew we don’t want to pay. Like wth was that??? We already ate here so many times. And she didn’t let me say a word. She literally yelled at us that if we don’t pay, she will call the cops. (Who in the world said I don’t want to pay?) Honestly, at that point, I was so done with her attitude, so I paid mine. (I thought of throwing all the cash in her face, but I realized she is not even worth my anger, so I did not). We didn’t pay for my friend’s meal. And we pay by cash, but she asked me to show my ID so the next time we step in, they will kick me out (She literally said that guys, I am not lying).

But guess what? I will NEVER EVER COME BACK again.

My story is based on my true story, and there are a lot of bad experiences from their attitude and cleanliness if you go through their reviews on Yelp. I leave you all a link right here

(By the way, I don’t know who did what, but I just found out my review on Yelp got deleted.)

Top 3 Korean Restaurants in Atlanta Make You Feel Like You Are Eating In Seoul

I love Korean culture. I used to live and study in Seoul, South Korea for a while, and I found out that Korean cuisine is a lot more than just Kimchi and Ramen. That is when I started to love Korean food.

Bon Bon $

I found this restaurant through Yelp on a starving night when no other chicken place opened. The first impression I have with this restaurant is, wow, the radish is a bomb. The taste is exactly how I used to eat it in Seoul. It brought all the memories I made in Seoul with just one bite, and I appreciate it so much. The interior inside is bright and cozy, and most of their customers are Koreans that bring the same atmosphere as you are eating in Seoul. Another thing that makes me fall in love with this place is that they serve chicken pieces in decent bites, through which it enough to keep the pieces crispy outside and juicy inside.

Recommending dishes: Rice Fried Chicken and Bon Bon White Pizza

Address: 3131 Lawrenceville Suwanee Rd, Ste A6 Suwanee, GA 30024

Seo Ra Beol $$

Here comes my favorite traditional Korean food restaurant. The food is always cooked with care, and delivery dedicate taste. Inside the restaurant is separated into two parts, one is for usual dining area, and one is a BBQ area with grill plates. It is Korean trusted. Whenever I came in, almost every customer in the restaurant is Korean. The only disadvantage is some waitresses don’t know much English, so please be careful and check twice after ordered.

Recommending dishes: 은대구조림 (Sauteed Silver Cod Fish with Special Seo Ra Beol Sauce) and  삼계탕 (ginseng chicken soup)

Address: 3040 Steve Reynolds Blvd Duluth, GA 30096

Honey Pig $$$

A cultural characteristic of South Korea is BBQ. And my go-to-restaurant is Honey Pig. They offer a lot of side dishes, which include delicious and addictive Corn Cheese. They have a huge round grill plate on each table for a lot of food that can be cooked on at once. And what I like best about it is that they grill the kimchi, just like how Koreans usually do it. Overall, the restaurant is small and dark, and they will be super crowded on the weekends, so get yourself there early. The price for All-you-can-eat set is higher than most of the BBQ places in the area, but I can promise it’s worth the hype. And their customer’s services are also very friendly and helpful.

Recommending dishes: 삼겹살구이 (Grilled Pork Belly) and
쇠고기 (Grilled Beef Brisket)

3 Best Vietnamese Restaurants To Cure My Homesick

The time I moved away from my beloved hometown was when I realized how much I miss its food. And although Georgia has a significant Vietnamese community, their restaurants in America is nowhere to be as good. After five years of living far from home, I finally have my top 3 Vietnamese restaurants to cure my homesick.

Nom Nom Tea & Bites $$

Vietnam is famous for its street foods, and Nom Nom Tea & Bites is my favorite place for a snack. They offer a variety of all kinds of street foods, from the famous Banh Trang Tron (Seasoned Rice Paper) to Bot Chien (Fried Rice Cake). The price might be a little bit expensive in comparison to their size, but the taste worths it all. Alternatively, their beverages are also bombs. They have the best crystal boba. Bonus point is that their owners are super friendly.

Recommending dishes: Ốc móng tay trứng muối ( Razor clams with salted eggs yolk) and Sò điệp nướng mỡ hành (Grilled Scallops with Onion)

Address: 1500 Pleasant Hill Rd #106, Duluth, GA 30096, USA

Pho House $

Where to get the best pho. Personally, Pho there is the closet to Southern Vietnam’s pho ( Yes! Northern Vietnam’s pho is different). When you order a bowl of beef pho, you will get beef pho, not pho noodles and two slices of beef like many other restaurants. I noticed many pho places in America make their broth either very intense and salty or completely bland to the point that sometimes it í not pho anymore. Pho House’s soup tastes delicate and sophisticated, for that I mean it is nor too plain or salty, and still, maintain the essence of the dish.

Recommending dishes: Phở (any kind as you wish) and Cơm Tấm (broken rice with pork chops, shredded pork-skin, and egg custard)

Address: 3606 Satellite Blvd, Duluth, GA 30096, USA

Nam Phuong $$

Nam Phuong is an intimate, simple Vietnamese pick offering family dinners plus classic pho, rice & vermicelli dishes Vietnamese restaurant where my aunt brought food home. My aunt is a home chef, and she rarely eats out. That is how you know this place is legit because she loves the food here. They offer a wide range of variety in Vietnamese cuisine, and most of their dishes are tasty and delicious.

Recommending dishes: Bánh xèo (Vietnamese pancake) and Cơm chiên bò lúc lắc (Sizzling Steak and fried rice)

Address: 4051 Buford Hwy NE, Atlanta, GA 30345, USA

Welcome

Hi Hi Hi!!!
Welcome you all to my little blog.
My name is Tram Anh Le, a 20 years old food lover. I was born and raised in Vietnam but recently moved to Georgia, the US, for studying. And in my blog, I will talk about a topic that we all loves: FOOD!
You may ask why do I decide to blog about such a common topic. But the food’s world is big, and many restaurants open every day. Thus, there will never be enough blogs about foods. And hey, and merrier the better. Not every bloggers’ appetite is the same right?
I grew up in an Asian household, moved to the US at the age of 15, so most of the people I know are Asian. So whenever my parents or their friends or my friends came to visit, they always ask me where to eat Asian food. At first, I opened Yelp and see all the best restaurants they recommend is not that good and overrated. None of our Asians lived in Atlanta eat at those places. That is when I know Yelp is not reliable. And that is how my idea for this blog begins.
In my first blogs, I will introduce some best authentic Asian restaurants that I found in Atlanta, Georgia, in categories. And perhaps after that, I will widen my range to a US-scale, or worldwide-scale, who knows?
And I would also love to connect with all the food’s lover in the world, so feel free to leave a comment below so we can get to know each other better.
With many loves,
Tram Anh Le the first time blogger.
